Battersea minicabs along the river

Battersea stretches along the south bank from Wandsworth to Vauxhall. From our base, the drive runs through Wandsworth onto York Road, so most pickups are a short trip. We cover the mansion flats around Battersea Park, the riverside apartments, the 'Between the Commons' streets and the restaurants and bars on Northcote Road.

Clapham Junction

Despite the name, Clapham Junction is in Battersea, and it's one of the busiest railway interchanges in the country. Thousands of passengers change trains here every day, and the station approaches on St John's Hill and Grant Road get congested. Tell us which entrance you'll use and we'll meet you there.

Battersea Power Station

The restored Power Station is now a destination in its own right, with shops, restaurants, offices and homes, and its own Northern line station. We pick up and drop off there regularly, and residents use us for airport runs to London City and Gatwick. Gatwick usually takes around 50 to 65 minutes from Battersea.

Dogs, parks and bridges

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is on Battersea Park Road, and our pet friendly taxi is a gentle way to bring a new dog home. Albert Bridge, Battersea Bridge and Chelsea Bridge link the area to Chelsea, making Victoria a quick run. Neighbouring areas: Wandsworth and Earlsfield.

Battersea Park, the arts centre and Northcote Road

Battersea Park hosts concerts, fairs and events through the year, and Battersea Arts Centre on Lavender Hill puts on theatre in the old town hall. With Northcote Road's restaurants nearby, the area is busy in the evenings. Book your journey home in advance and agree a pickup point near the venue.

Nine Elms and the riverside

East of the Power Station, Nine Elms is a new riverside neighbourhood of apartments, offices and the US Embassy. We pick up and drop off across the area. Journeys to London Bridge and the City follow the river, and Heathrow trips head west through Wandsworth and Putney.

Between the Commons

Between Wandsworth Common and Clapham Common lies the area locals call Between the Commons, a grid of Victorian terraces popular with families. Northcote Road runs through its heart, and St John's Road near Clapham Junction is one of south London's busiest shopping streets. Parking is tight almost everywhere, which is why many residents use a cab for the weekly shop, school runs and trips to the station with luggage. Battersea Rise and Lavender Hill are the main roads, and from most of the area the drive to Putney takes about 15 minutes.

Clapham Common on the doorstep

Clapham Common lies on the eastern edge of Battersea. In summer it hosts festivals and big outdoor events that bring road closures and crowds to the surrounding streets. On those days, book ahead and we'll suggest a pickup point outside the closures so you're not stuck in the queue of traffic leaving the Common.
